Chai Spiced Porridge

INGREDIENTS

150g Porridge Oats
1 ltr Water, but adjust to your thickness preference
5 Cloves
3 Cardamon pods
2 All Spice
1/3 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/3 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/4 Pint of full fat Milk
1 Tbl sp Honey

INSTRUCTIONS

Pop a Sauce pan on a low heat.
Throw in your Cardamon pods, All Spice and Cloves.
Toast the Spices for around 30 seconds until fragrant.
Then go in with a third of a tea spoon of ground Cinnamon and a third of a tea spoon of ground Nutmeg.
Pour in a cup of water (around half a pint) and bring to a simmer.
Steep the spices in the water for around 3 minutes.
Place your Porridge Oats into the Sauce pan of Spiced Water.
Add a small pinch of Salt.
Add around a pint of Water.
Cook out the Oats on a simmer for around 10 minutes, until the Oats are soft and you have a creamy Porridge.
Add a table spoon of Honey and stir through.
Turn off the heat and finish with a splash of milk, around a quarter of a pint.
